what is the best way to make fiberglass auto body parts?
Should I use clay, wood or foam
I don’t want to spend a lot of money on the materials except for the fiberglass and resin since I will need a lot.
any personal experiences and insight would be great details are a plus so I can get a good picture.

Actually what you are asking is how to make a “plug”. Most fabricaters use wood for support and foam, covered in fiberglass and bondo and shaped to the final look. Plaster can be used as can many other things but what ever is used it needs to be resistant to the solvents in the fiberglass From that form the molds are made and the final product is made from the mold.
